Why picosecond speed matters for pigment
Traditional lasers heat pigment until it fractures into particles your body has to clear over time — some of that pigment lingers, or returns. A picosecond laser fires in trillionths of a second, shattering pigment into far finer particles through a mechanical (photoacoustic) effect rather than heat. Finer particles clear faster and more completely, with less heat spilling into surrounding skin.
